Juara’s Houses

The Juara Houses are three semi-detached houses located in Jaraguá, a neighborhood of Belo Horizonte. The project was started in January 2022, and construction will begin in 2024.

Built on a plot of approximately 450 square meters, the project was designed in a semi-detached form to make maximum use of the available land. The challenge was to design the houses with thermal and acoustic quality and make use of sunlight. To achieve this, we created openings that favor cross ventilation and skylights for natural light, and incorporated vegetation to improve the quality of life and protect the front facade from street view. With sustainability in mind, we proposed a rainwater collection system, solar hot water, and solar panel energy supply.
